The Gepps Cross Junior Football Club is located at Duncan Fraser Reserve, Rowe Avenue, Northfield, South Australia. We enjoy some of the best facilities in Adelaide thanks to the Northgate Sports and Community Club. The tree-lined oval is surrounded by new houses, apartments, parks and lakes.
In 2008 we are fielding 14 teams, and welcome girls aged 5 to 11 and boys aged 5 to 18.
We play modified Australian Rules Football or AFL.
Junior football is SAFE and FUN!
The Club has produced several high-profile AFL players and many SANFL and Amateur League players.
We accept children between the ages of 5 and 16.
Girls aged 5 to 12 are welcome to play but, under current rules, cannot play mixed football once they turn 13.
No football ability is required. The children easily acquire the basics of the game of Australian Rules Football from a very young age.
2008 FEES:
One child - $70.00
Two children from the same family - $110.00
Third child from the same family - $25.00
Additional children from the same family - Free
All our coaches have, at least, level one coaching accreditation from the SANFL.
For a minimal expense the children receive expert coaching twice a week, (either Wednesdays and Fridays or Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5pm depending on their age)., free socks, free social events, and trophies at the end of the season.
Players who achieve 100 games with the Club get a run-through banner, and their team hosts a party to celebrate the big occasion. Players who joined before 2005 receive Junior Life Membership on playing their 100th game. Players who joined since 2005 will receive Junior Life Membership on their 150th game.
